Giorgio Carli completed his musical studies with G. Gori, A. La Porta, A. Romero, R. Savastano. He made his debut in 1992 in Gianni Schicchi. Performed operas: 1993: Campanello dello speziale (Don Annibale, Enrico). 1994-95: Capriccio- Teatro Regio di Parma, conducted by G.Kuhn. 1997: Tosca for the Italian Television RAI with V.La Scola and G.Taddei. Madama Butterfly (Sharpless), Elisir d’amore (Belcore) with A.Romero. 1998: Pagliacci (Silvio), Carmen (Escamillo), 1999: Il barbiere di Siviglia (Bartolo) touring through Belgium, then in Rome and other Italian towns. Debut in L’occasione fa il ladro (Don Parmenione) in Taipei, La serva padrona (Uberto),2002: Caruso (G.Puccini, Mister Benjamin), musical by G.Terranova with Katja Ricciarelli, under the direction of F.Crivelli. Il segreto di Susanna (Conte Gil) –Lecce, Politeama. 2003-2004: Le Cantatrici villane (Don Marco) - Campobasso, Teatro Savoia. He partecipated with great success to the musical The Phantom of the Opera (Italian version) (Erik, the phantom) under the direction of André De La Roche in Modena, Verona, Cosenza, Reggio Calabria, Piacenza, Firenze, Livorno. He received a special mention in the International Competition Operamusical Mario Lanza 2005 –Filignano, for both the cathegories opera and musical. His church music repertoire includes: Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Mozart’s and Fauré’s Requiem, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem performed in Wells Cathedral, UK, Haydn’s Nelson Messe performed in the Pantheon-Rome under the baton of W.Ress. |
