Francesco Musinu began his singing studies in 1976 at the Polifonica Arborense in Oristano, where he perfomed until 1980 as soloist bass in several concerts all over Italy, singing amongst other works Bach’s Magnificat and C. Caria’s Psalm Beato L’uomo for chorus, soloists and piano. He later continued his musical studies at the Music Conservatory of Cagliari under the guidance of Marcella de Osma receiving his diploma with full marks. 1981 he won the selections for the Lyric Chorus in Cagliari, where he took part in the lyric seasons as member of the chorus as well as soloist until 1986. In 1982 and 1983 he partecipated to the specialization courses with Miss Corradetti in Santa Margherita Ligure, he studied chamber music with Siminovich and with him he made his debut in Banchieri’s Festino del giovedì grasso. In 1983 he won the Belli Competion of Spoleto, from 1981 to 2004 he took part in the lyric seasons with world-wide renown artists such as the conductors Muti, Chailly, Oren, Gelmetti, Bonynge, Santi, Abbado, Bartoletti, the singers Domingo, Alagna, Bruson, Dessì, Devinu, Ricciarelli, Manca di Nissa, Scandiuzzi, Ghiaurov, Frontali and the directors Bene, Pizzi, Cavani, Salvatores, Zhang Ymou.
