Michail Ryssov was born in Crimea (Ucraine). He studied at the Minsk Conservatory and at the Academy of La Scala and he has won several International Competitions.

His engagements also include concerts with prestigious orchestras such as the Prague Chamber Orchestra under Maxim Shostakovich, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Myung-Whun Chung conducting, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Hamburg Philarmonic Orchestra and Ingo Metzmacher, as well as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Symphony and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, all three conducted by Sir Simon Rattle.
