Born in Cottbus, Germany, in 1978, Annika Kaschenz took her diploma in piano and in singing at the Music Conservatory of her home town. She continued her studies in Dresden and after moving to Italy she received her second singing diploma from the Music Institute R.Franci in Siena with the highest marks.
Competitions and awards: 1996: first prize at the Landeswettbewerb Jugend Musiziert in Frankfurt. 1997: third prize at the Bundeswettbewerb Jugend Musiziert in Leipzig.
Afterwards, she began an intense concert activity that took her regularly to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Scotland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the USA and to Italy. In Germany she sang at the Staatstheater of Cottbus with the Symphony Orchestra and in the Zwinger Saal in Dresden performing contemporary music in world premiere.
She recorded music by M. Tournier and by H. Rénie for the label Max Research. 2007: she performed in numerous concerts in Great Britain, Austria and in the Untited States. 2008: La Rondine (Suzy ) – Venice; Boris Godunov (Feodor) – Venice. 2009: Romeo et Juliette (Stefano) – Venice; concerts in New York; La Rondine (Suzy and Lolette) - Leipzig (Germany); Traviata (Flora) – Venice. 2011: Francesca da Rimini - Trieste. |
