Born in Rome, Sonia Ciani began her singing studies with M° Stefania Magnifico.

She gets her music-degree from the Music Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome and she graduated in modern literature with an experimental thesis in contemporary history.

2007: I Shardana by E. Porrino with Musical Conservatory in Stoccarda.

2008: she debuted the role of Frasquita in Carmen - Teatro Nazionale in Rome. In the same year she attends to advanced course Opera Studio for Santa Cecilia National Academy under the guidance of M° Renata Scotto.
