Antonello Palombi started his singing career with K. Gamberucci and then with Maestro Thiolas.

In 1990 he made his debut as Pinkerton in Butterfly and in the following years he has performed in Italy and abroad. His repertoire goes from Mozart, Rossini to Verdi and Puccini, he was Duca di Mantova in RigolettoAlfredo in Traviata, Fenton in Falstaff, Don Ramiro in Cenerentola, Ferrando in Così fan tutteNemorino in Elisir d’Amore and also Don Josè in CarmenMacduff in Macbeth and Edmondo in Manon Lescaut.

In 1997 he was Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut at the Festival of Glyndebourne conducted by Sir J.E. Gardiner, then Enea in Les Troyens at La Fenice in Venezia. In 1998 he made his debut in Verdi’s Requiem in Germany and in London conducted by Sir Gardiner, thereafter as Cavarodossi in Tosca at the Teatro Sociale in Padova and Radames inAida at La Fenice in Venezia; he has performes Don José in Carmen at New National Theatre of Tokyo conducted by M° Gustav Kuhn.

In 1999 he has sung in several concerts in Parma, Busseto and Mantova (Arie da Camera by Verdi orchestrated by Berio); thereafter, also by Verdi, l’Inno delle Nazioni for the Celebration of Italian Republic on the 2nd of June at the Quirinale conducted by R. Abbado. In Glynderbourne in Manon Lescaut and then as Rodolfo in Bohème at the Giocosa in Savona and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Regio di Torino.

In 2000 he was Radames in Aida at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by P. Olmi, and then Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut at the Fenice in Venezia conducted by Y. Ahronovitch, then he participated to a tour to Copenhagen. He once again made his debut as Loris Ipanoff in Fedora at the Regio di Torino then as Avito in l’Amore dei Tre Re by Montemezzi at the Opernhaus of Zürich.

In Zürich in 2001 he made two debuts: Ismaele in Nabucco and Don Carlo. He also made his debut as Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra at the Teatro Bellini in Catania, as Cassio in Otello in Zürich, with J. Cura, D. Dessì and R. Raimondi and as Jacopo in I Due Foscari at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome.

2002 has been a year full of debuts: Pollione in Norma and Faust in Mefistofele at the Regio di Torino, Paco in La Vida Breve and Pedro in La Serrana at the Sao Carlos in Lisbon. He made his debut at the Frankfurt Oper with Manon Lescaut and with Tosca, then he returned to Zürich for Otello – Cassio and participated to an Opera Gala concert in Budapest with Aida. In the same year he has performed the role of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Deutche Oper in Berlin and partecipated to a new production ofMacbeth at the Regio di Torino.

In 2003 he was invited to Zürich for Nabucco and of Don Carlo and to Budapest for Aida. He participated to two Gala concerts in Leipzig and returned to Frankfurt to sing Des Grieux and Cavaradossi.

He was Des Grieux also at the Bayerische Staatsoper in München. He participated to the New Year Gala at the Frankfurt Opera House, where he started 2004 asCavaradossi in Tosca.

In 2004 he made his debut as Calaf in Turandot in Cagliari and as Dick Johnson in Fanciulla del West in Seattle with great success. In the same year he has performed the role of Ismaele in Nabucco at the Terme di Caracalla in Rome and was in Berlin for Manon Lescaut (Des Grieux) and for Aida (Radames).

In 2005 he sang L’amore dei tre re (Avito) in Torino, and made his debut as Alvaro in La forza del destino in Frankfurt, as Otello in Melbourne. In Dallas he sang Pagliacciand in Palm Beach Aida.

In 2006 he returned to Torino for Manon Lescaut, went to Detroit for Aida, to Cincinnati for Tosca, and to Berlin for Andrea Chénier.

2008: Pagliacci and Aida - Seattle, Tabarro - Milan, Le Villi - Lucca, Turandot - Naples, Concerts for Puccini’s celebration – Torre del Lago and Parco della Musica in Rome; Aida - Baltimora,  Tosca - Salonicco and Helsinki, Concert for the New Year in Strasburg.

2009: Sansone e Dalila - Wroclaw; Tosca - Torre del Lago; Fanciulla del West - Copenaghen; Tosca - New Orleans; Trovatore – Il Cairo.

2010: Trovatore - Seattle; Aida - Atlanta; Tosca - Denver and Detroit; Otello - Cincinnati; Turandot - Arena di Verona; Aida - Helsinki; Butterfly - Copenaghen.

2011: Pagliacci (Canio) - Scala di Milano; Pagliacci (Canio) - Genoa; Otello - Ascoli Piceno; Trovatore - Charlotte; Concerts -  Sweden.

2012: Attila - Seattle; Verdi Requiem - Dublin; Otello  in Wroclaw; Turandot and Cavalleria rusticana - Genoa; Pagliacci - Detroit; Turandot - Seattle;  Aida - Dallas;

2013: Turandot - Dallas; Otello - Genoa.

He has worked with such eminent conductors as : R. Abbado, Acs, Ahronovitch, Andretta, Aprea, Barbacini, Bartoletti, Bellugi, Bernet, Caetani, Campanella, Campori, De la Cote, Desderi, Fedoseyev, Fisher, Franci, Gandolfi, Gardiner, Rath, Karabtchevsky, Kuhn, Märkl, Martin, Medveczky, Mega, Olmi, Pons, Ranzani, Renzetti, Santi, Viotti.

He sang in the major opera houses: Royal Albert Hall in London, Bayerische Staatsoper in München, La Fenice in Venezia, Glyndebourne, Teatro Regio in Torino, Teatro dell’Opera and Terme di Caracalla in Roma, Deutsche Oper and Schauspiel in Berlin, New National Theatre in Tokyo, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Teatro Verdi in Firenze, Seattle Opera, Lisbon, Mantova, Treviso, Rovigo Savona, Ravenna, Cosenza, Pisa, Modena, Lucca, Livorno, Baden Baden, Riga, Budapest, Padova, Copenhagen, Zürich, Zagreb, Catania, Frankfurt.
