Born in Treviso, she graduated in piano and vocal studies at Conservatorio G.B. Martini in Bologna, she got a degree in Modern Literature. She had masterclasses with Sergio Bertocchi.

 

In 1990 she debuted the role of Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro as winner of the Toti Dal Monte Competition.

 

During the following years she has performed in the most important European theatres: Comunale in Bologna, Bellini in Catania, Comunale in Florence, La Scala in Milan, Opera in Rome, Losanne, Montpellier, Frankfurt, Staatsoper in Berlin, Staatsoper in Munich, Zurich, Lyon.

She has worked with leading conductors as Rinaldo Alessandrini, Ivor Bolton, William Christie, Alan Curtis, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Daniele Gatti, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, René Jacobs, Riccardo Muti, Myung-Whun Chung, Paolo Olmi, Daniel Oren, Marcello Viotti.

 

Among the titles she performed: Idomeneo (Idamante) at Staatsoper in Berlin, Così fan tutte (Dorabella), Le nozze di Figaro (Cherubino), Don Giovanni (Zerlina), La clemenza di Tito (Annio and Sesto), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina) at Opernhaus in Zurich, La cenerentola (Angelina), Mosè in Egitto (Amaltea), Roméo et Juliette (Stéphano), Les contes d'Hoffmann (Nickausse), Faust (Siébel).


He took part to several recordings: L'occasione fa il ladro and La scala di seta with Maria Bayo and Ramon Vargas, conducted by Marcello Viotti, label Claves; L’elisir d'amore with Mariella Devia and Roberto Alagna, conducted by Marcello Viotti, label Erato; Stabat Mater by Pergolesi with Mariella Devia, conducted by Daniele Callegari, label Fonè; Giustino by Vivaldi conducted by Alan Curtis, label Claves; Marion Delorme by Ponchielli conducted by Friedemann Layer, label.
