
Born in Venezia, Gianluca Zampieri lives in Roma.
Since 1992, when he won the Mattia Battistini Opera Competition in Rieti, he has
began an international career performing in various theatres in Italy (Bologna, Venezia,
Genova, Roma, Palermo, Catania, Torino etc.) and outside Italy (Frankfurt, Bonn,
Lima, Zürich, Budapest, Prag, Monte-
He has performed some of the major roles of the Italian and French repertoire singing with artists like Bruson, Nucci, Dessì, Furlanetto, Raimondi, Salvadori, Valayre, Pons, under conductors such as Kuhn, Arena, Santi, Bartoletti, Guadagno, Nelson, Oren, Severini, and directors such as Fassini, De Tomasi, De Ana, Cavani, Savary and Tarant.
In 2005 he has performed Guntram by R.Strauss in Catania (National Premiere) and was guest of the Prague National Opera for Jenufa: he won the Libusek Prize of the Tzchech Press Association for his interpretation of Laca.
Then he has sung in the new production of Verdi’s Otello in Ankara. In the same year he made his debut in R.Wagner’s Götterdämmerung (Siegfried) and sang againGuntram at the Erl Festival under the conduction of G.Kuhn. In October he went back to Ostrava for a new production of Dvorak´s Rusalka and in December he returned for a new production of The Greek Passions by Martinu.
In 2007 he performed in Zandonai´s Conchita in Bolzano, in Attila at the National
Theatre in Prague, and he made his debut in Tristan und Isolde in Erl, singing Siegfriedin
Götterdämmerung. Then he joined a new co-
