Joanna Parisi American-Italian dramatic sopran, born in New York, graduated with the highest marks in vocal studies from the Purchase State University di New York. She has been awarded by some prestigious institutions like Operalia and Metropolitan Opera National Council.

Among her recent operatic engagements are: 2017 - Tosca, Teatro Solis in Montevideo and Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana, Teatro Aurora in Malta; 2018 - Norma, Sarasota Opera; Tosca, Opera Romana in Craiova; Leonora in Il trovatore, Opera Plovdiv in Bulgaria; Abigaille in Nabucco, Lausanne; Elsa in Lohengrin, Opera Southwest.

In April and June 2019 she will be performing Cavalleria rusticana in Switzerland.

Joanna made her debut as Tosca at Central Park, New York. She performed Abigaille in Nabucco  at Union Square-Washington Irving Auditorium, and Aida at Central Park with the New York Grand Opera Orchestra. Her repertoire includes also  Andrea Chénier (Maddalena) performed at a Carnegie Hall. Always in New York she performed Mimì ne La bohème at the Italian Institut of culture Enrico Fermi.

In 2016 honored as one of "The Next Generation of Great Opera Singers" by WQXR Classical and was Micaela in Carmen at Taormina Opera Festival. In 2015 she debuted Lucrezia Borgia.

She also performed Tosca in Switzerland: Neuchâtel, Friburgo, Vevey e Porrentruy; Leonora in Il trovatore at Palacio de Bellas Artes inMexico City during the seasons 2013 and 2014 and with Wroclaw Opera in 2016. Other roles of her repertoire are: Micaela in Carmen, debuted with  Amazonas Theatre in Brasil in 2014; Elisabetta di Valois in Don Carlo in Neuchâtel and Freiburg.
