Born in Fagnano Castello (Cosenza), he began to study singing at the Conservatoire of Cosenza under the guidance of A. Savastano. Afterwards, he attends masterclasses with R. Scotto, L. Gencer, L. Nucci, L. Serra, S. Verrèt, B. Giaiotti, E. Muller and R. Kettelson, and specialization courses at Accademia Verdiana "C.Bergonzi" in Busseto and at Accademia Chigiana in Siena.

Competitions:

- International Competition "G.Di Stefano";

- 47th Contest As.Li.Co.;

- Finalist at "Domingo Operalia".

He attended Teatro alla Scala’s Academy in 1999 - 2001.

He debuted in 1994 in L'amico Fritz in Reggio Emilia, conducted by S. Ranzani. Afterwards he debuted the main roles in Rigoletto, Così fan tutte, L'isola di Merlino, Falstaff e Le Nozze di Figaro - Teatri del Circuito Regionale Lombardo.

La Traviata (Giorgio Germont), Hansel und Gretel - Teatro Regio in Parma.

In 1998 he debuted Gianni Schicchi for the opening of Teatro Sociale in Como and Tre Commedie Goldoniane by G. F. Malipiero; he performed Falstaff at Sferisterio in Macerata, taking Renato Bruson's place.

In 2000/2001 he sang L’elisir d’amore (Belcore) at Teatro alla Scala conducted by R. Brignoli.

He made his debut as Marcello and Shaunard in La bohème at Teatro alla Scala, and Ariadne auf Naxos conducted by G. Sinopoli, Renato in Un ballo in Maschera, Michonnet in Adriana Lecouvreur, Giorgio Germont in La Traviata conducted by R. Muti, Marquis de la Force in Les dialogues des Carmelites and Ping in Turandot, Tagliaferro in La Cecchina by N. Piccinni.

2001: La zingara (Don Sebastiano)by G. Donizetti - Festival della Valle d'Itria; (Tesoriere la Rocca) - Teatro alla Scala; Rigoletto - Opera Giocosa in Savona.

2002: La scala di seta (Blansac) - Teatro Malibran in Venice; Manon (Bretigny) - Teatro Verdi in Trieste and at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, conducted by D.Oren; Lucrezia Borgia (Don Apostolo Gazzella) - Teatro alla Scala, conducted by R. Palumbo and directed by H. De Ana; Don Giovanni - Opera Giocosa di Savona, receiving enthusiastic reviews; Turandot (Ping) – Athens, conducted by D. Renzetti.

2003: Don Pasquale (Malatesta); Madama Butterfly (Sharpless) – Teatro La Fenice in Venice and Padova; Simon Boccanegra (Paolo) - Teatro Regio in Turin, conducted by R. Abbado and directed by G.Vick.

2004: Fanciulla del West (Sonora) - Turin, conducted by S. Mercurio and directed by G. Del Monaco; Beatrice di Tenda (Filippo Maria Visconti) - Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, conducted by R.Palumbo; Madama Butterfly (Sharpless) conducted by G. Carella and directed by H. Gram; La traviata (Giorgio Germont)  - Teatro N. Piccinni in Bari, conducted J. Kovacev and F.Zeffirelli.

2005: Mass pro pace for soprano and baritone by A. Casella - A. Toscanini Foundation.

2007: Oedipus rex  - Turin, conducted by J. Lacombe and directed R. Andò; Manon (Bretigny) - Teatro Massimo in Palermo conducted by M.Plasson and directed A.Fassini; Cassandra by V. Gnecchi (Egisto) -  Deutsche Oper in Berlin, conducted by L. Hager and directed by K. Harms; celebration concert for the centenary of the Publishing house Mondadori at Teatro alla Scala of Milan, conductor D.
