
Born in Messina, Sicily, Rossella Bevacqua received her diploma in singing and in piano from the Music Conservatory A. Corelli of her hometown with Magna cum Laude.
In 1999 at the age of 20 she won the "G. Di Stefano" International Voice Competition and made her debut as Elivira in L´Italiana in Algeri for the Luglio Musicale Trapanese. Afterwards she sang for the Opera di Roma, for the Comunale di Bologna, the Carlo Felice di Genova and for the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. She attended masterclasses with M° Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and made her debut as Clorinda in La Cenerentola at the Teatro dei Rinnovati in Siena and at the Teatro Marrucino in Chieti.

Her debut at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma was under the baton of Gianluigi Gelmetti in Suor Angelica and in Il Tabarro; she was Musetta in La Bohéme and Garsenda inFrancesca da Rimini conducted by M° Donato Renzetti in Rome and in Macerata.
Recently she was Inez in La Favorite at the Carlo Felice in Genova, Norina in Don Pasquale in Mantova and Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte, directed by Daniele Abbado at the Carlo Felice in Genova and in Bilbao, Spain.
