
Tomislav Lucic was born in Split (Croatia) in 1978. After graduating in marine sciences,
he started singing at the Opera Studio of the Zagreb National Theatre with Maria
Boga-
In 2009 he was finalist at the prestigious BBC Cardiff Singer Song Prize Competition.
In
2006, he made his stage debut at the National Theatre of Zagreb performing two works
by Mozart: Bastien et Bastienne (Colas) and Die Zauberflöte (Der Sprecher). His following
roles are Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) as well as Falstaff (Die lustigen Weiber von
Windsor) at the National Opera of Bucharest and Frère Laurent (Roméo et Juliette)
within the productions of the CNIPAL. From 2007 to 2009 he was engaged through a
scholarship as a company member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, getting the opportunity
to perform small parts on stage.
In July 2008 he sang in Ildebrando Pizzetti's Fedra in Montpellier, to be released
on CD.
Since 2009/10 Tomislav Lucic has been hired as a soloist at the ensemble of
the Sächsiche Staatsoper in Dresden, performing parts such as Wagner (Faust), Angelotti
(Tosca), Colline (La Boheme). He also was a guest at the Opéra National de Lyon (Masetto in
Don Giovanni), Le Rossignol in Aix-
Tomislav Lucic performs regularly
in concerts and recitals. Recently he sang Haendel's Messiah in Granada and Valladolid.
