Born in Patras (Greece), Vassiliki Karayanni studied singing under the guidance of Barbara Gavakou (student of J. Metternich) and received her singing diploma with grade A and First Prize in 1994. She was awarded several prizes in Greece and abroad: First Prize in the Akkordion (1984), the special prize Ilva Ligabue at the International Competition Gianfranco Masini in Italy (2001) .

In 1994 she made her debut at the International Festival of Corfu singing the role of Nina in La Martire by Spyros Samaras.

In 2001, she won the Special Prize of the Greek Union of Musician and Theatrical Critics for her interpretation of Zerbinetta in the production of Ariadne auf Naxos (National Opera House of Greece).

In 2004, Vassiliki Karajanni made her debut at the ROH Covent Garden performing the role of Olympia (The tales of Hoffmann) The same production was reproposed in Dec 2008. In 2004, she also made her debut at the Komische Oper Berlin as Queen of the Night (The magic Flute). Her concert ativity took her to the Queen Elisabeth Hall in London (2003), Dal Verme Concert Hall of Teatro alla Scala in Milano (June 2005) and to the Cadogan Hall in London (October 2006).

In 2009 she sang Zerbinetta and in 2010 she was Gilda in Rigoletto in Athens.

Symphonic and sacred repertoire:

Requiem by Mozart and by Faure, Fantasia by Beethoven, Stabat Mater and Salve Regina by Pergolesi, Gloria by Vivaldi, several Cantatas by Bach, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, several Concert arias by Mozart.
