ADORJÁN PATAKI

Tenor

 

Born in 1981 in Târnãveni, Romania, Adorján Pataki started to study music at Theological Highschool in 1999, he graduated in vocal studies at “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy in Cluj with Marius Vlad. He also studied with Carmelo Corrado Caruso in Milan and Viorica Cortez in Paris.

 

Since October 2005 he is soloist of the Hungarian Opera in Cluj-Napoca.

 

In 2007 he sang the role of Alfredo from La traviata (Alfredo) by G. Verdi in Ossiek (Croatia) for the 100 years jubilee of the opera.

 

In 2012/13: Madama Butterfly (Pinkerton), Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio), L’elisir d’amore (Nemorino), La bohème (Rodolfo), Un ballo in maschera (Riccardo), La traviata (Alfredo), Hunyadi László by Ferenc Erkel and Luisa Miller (Rodolfo) in Budapest, and La bohème in Bergen.

 

In 2014: I Spiritisti by Selmeczi in Budapest and Hunyadi Laszlo in Cluj-Napoca.

Moreover he has been guest tenor at Arad, Satu Mare, Oradea, Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureº, Sibiu, Braºov, Craiova, Vâlcea, Iaºi, Botoºani Philarmonic Orchestras, Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra, Romania National Opera Timiºoara, Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca, Hungarian National Opera Budapest, National Philarmonic Hungary; also he sang in several tours in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary, Spain.

 

He is permanently invited to the “Bartók +” Opera Festival in Miskolc, Hungary.

2006 – International “Traian Grozãvescu” Singing Contest Lugoj, Romania – Special prize of the Romanian Musical Performing Society (UCMR).

2009 – International “Ionel Perlea” Lied Contest Slobozia, Romania – Special prize for the best chamber music interpretation.

2010  - IX. International Operetta Singing Competition of Franz Lehar – Special Prize and Duna Television Prize.
