Emilia Rukavina

Mezzosoprano

Born in Rijeka in 1995. A graduate of the Academy in Zagreb in the class of prof. Martina Gojčeta Silićand currently is a soloist at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and in Rijeka.


In 2025 she will be Dorabella in Così fan tutte in Bologna.


During next season 2023/24: cover for Eboli in Don Carlo at Teatro alla Scala; Dorabella in Così fan tutte and Maddalena in Rigoletto, conducted by Pier Giorgio Morandi, Fenena in Nabucco, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and at Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Olga in Eugene Onegin in Lubiana.


In 2022/23: Fenena in Nabucco, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, La traviata in Zagreb, Rossini's Stabat mater with HRT Orchestra (Croatian Radiotelevision symphonic orchestra), Polina in Pique Dame in Rijeka and Zagreb, Olga in Eugene Onegin in Lubiana.


In 2016, she made her debut in Rigoletto and Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, where she returned in 2021 as member of "Giorgio Surian Opera Studio". Other appearances include: Le nozze di Figaro (Cherubino), Cavalleria rusticana (Lola) in Rijeka; Roméo et Juliette (Stéphano) in Rijeka and Lubiana; Orfeo ed Euridice (Orfeo) in Rijeka and Zagreb; Carmen and Die Zauberflöte in Zagreb; Arlecchino (Colombina) by Busoni in Rijeka.


Her oratorio repertorio includes: Stabat mater and Petite messe solenelle by Rossini; Coronationa Mass by Mozart; Oratorio de Noel by Saint-Saens; Mors et vita by Gounod; Stabat mater by Pergolesi; IX. Symphony by Beethoven; I. Symphony by Bernstein.
