Francesco Auriemma
Baritone
Born in 1996, studied piano, composition and singing. He graduated in vocal studies at Conservatorio ‘San Pietro a Majella’ in Naples under the guidance of Emma Innacoli. He took part to masterclasses with Adi Bar, Antonio Maione, Maria Luisa Bigai and Antonio Florio. During his studies he was prized at the best male singer of Paisiello arias, he got the 'Premio Sofia' and the first prize in the Competition ‘Giovani in Musica’ in Naples.
Thanks to the intense activity promoted by the Conservatorio of Naples, he took part to several titles: Il barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro), L’elisir d’amore (Belcore), Il barbiere di Siviglia by Paisiello (Figaro/Bartolo), La bohème (Marcello and Schaunard) and Don Giovanni.
As soloist he performed Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mozart's Requiem e Ramirez's Missa Criolla. He won 68th edition of the AsLiCo Competition, being prized with the opportunity to perform the role of Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia with the project Opera domani in a tournée around Italy.
During the 2025/26 season he is Il Sagrestano in Tosca with Opera di Roma for the project Opera Camion, he debuts Guglielmo in Così fan tutte at Landestheater Niederbayern with performances between December and June, and will be Silvano in Un ballo in maschera at Immling Festspiele.
Between 2023 and 2025: Il barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) in Benevento; La bohème and Turandot in Torre del Lago; cover as Don Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia at ROHM in Muscat. Il piccolo principe by Valtinoni and Don Pasquale (Malatesta) at Teatro Regio in Torino, La cambiale di matrimonio (Slook) and Gianni Schicchi with Bregenz Festival, La traviata (Barone) in Trieste, Il barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) with Opera di Roma for the project Opera Camion nad with Fondazione Varrone, Acquaprofonda at Teatro Malibran in Venice and Como, Beppe in Donizetti's Rita in Orvieto Festival, Tosca in Trieste, La bohème and Madama Butterfly at Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago.
In 2021 and 2022: he debuts as Dulcamara in L'elisir d'amore at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova and during the summer at Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata for Traviata; Il turco in Italia (Don Geronio) at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova; Don Checco at Teatro Regio in Torino; La serva padrona (Uberto) in Trieste, La cambiale di matrimonio (Slook) as cover at ROHM in Muscat in tournée with Rossini Opera Festival of Pesaro.
In 2019 and 2020: Traviata in Como, Il barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) in Spoleto and Alice by Matteo Franceschini at Teatro Regio in Parma; Alice at Teatro Sociale in Trento and Rigoletto (Monterone) with AsLiCo Opera Domani. During the summer he took part to the Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento Giacomo Puccini at Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago; winner of the Ravello Singing Competition.
In 2017 and 2018 he took part to the Rossini Academy at ROF in Pesaro and he performed Don Alvaro in Il viaggio a Reims and performed the role of Figaro in Barbiere with AsLiCo Opera Domani, Il gatto con gli stivali by Nicola Scardicchio al Petruzzelli di Bari.
