Marco Miglietta, tenor, was born in Lecce, Italy. He earned his diploma at the R. Franci Institute in Siena and masterclasses with renowned sopranos Raina Kabaivanska at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana (2012) and Renata Scotto at the Opera Studio of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (2013). In recent years, he has studied with tenors Walter Fraccaro and Piero Visconti.


He made his operatic debut in November 2013 in Verdi’s Un Giorno di Regno at the Reate Festival in Rieti, a production recorded and released by Tactus Records. Since then, he has performed with prestigious institutions including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, and at Vienna’s Musikverein, as well as in numerous concerts for the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, of which he has been a member since 2014.


Last season and present season roles include Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Sibiu Opera Festival, Candide in Trieste and Bologna, Cornill Schut in I Pittori Fiamminghi at the Illica Festival, and Ismaele in Nabucco in the theatres of Cremona, Como, Brescia, Pavia and Lucca. Marco Miglietta continues to captivate audiences with his vibrant tenor, dramatic intensity, and versatility across both classic and contemporary repertoire.


In 2024, he performed in Dido and Aeneas, Die sieben Todsünden, and Macbeth at Teatro Comunale di Bologna; Turandot at Teatro Goldoni in Livorno; Bruckner’s Te Deum with the Teatro Comunale di Bologna’s Symphonic Season under Maestro Donato Renzetti; and as Cassio in Otello at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma under Maestro Daniel Oren. Summer engagements included Turandot at the Caracalla Festival.


In recent seasons, Marco has continued to expand his repertoire and international presence: the title role in Mascagni’s Silvano for the Mascagni Festival, Le Maschere at Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Il Tabarro at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and concert performances of Nabucco at the Verdi Festival in Parma. He inaugurated the 2023/24 season at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma in Boito’s Mefistofele, conducted by Maestro Michele Mariotti.


Marco has appeared in leading roles across a wide repertoire: Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi with Orchestra LaVerdi Milano, Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, and Rodolfo in La Bohème at Teatro Sociale di Como within the OperaIT AsLiCo project. He starred in contemporary works such as Milo, Maya e il Giro del Mondo (Ricordi), with 57 performances in major Italian theatres, and La Cenerentola by C. Carrara, premiered at Teatro Petruzzelli, where he also sang in La Gazza Ladra for the 2016/17 season opening.


Highlights of his career include Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Cairo Opera House (2020), Die Zauberflöte at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Nabucco (Ismaele) at Teatro di San Carlo, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and La Traviata at Teatro Petruzzelli, and Camille de Rossillon in Die Lustige Witwe at Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina. He has appeared at international festivals including EXPO Milano 2015, the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, and the Caracalla Festival in Rome.
