Cristian Saitta

Bass

Born in 1991 in Roma­nia, Cri­stian Saitta moved to Sicily. He stu­died at the Con­ser­va­tory of Mes­sina.

In 2012 takes part to the XIX Inter­na­tio­nal Opera Com­pe­ti­tion Ric­cardo Zan­do­nai in Riva del Garda (TN) winning a scholarship to study with Mietta Sighele.

In the same year he per­forms as a soloist the W.A. Mozart’s Mass in C major KV317 and par­ti­ci­pa­tes at the XXIX edi­tion of the Musica Riva Festi­val in the Falstaff production con­duc­ted by Marco Boemi.

He takes part to the XXVI Com­pe­ti­tion Iris Adami Cor­ra­detti being awarded with second prize and two scho­lar­ships: one offe­red by the Foun­da­tion Lucia Valen­tini Ter­rani and the other by Lyric Club in Padova.


In 2024: Nabucco (Sacerdote di Belo) in Trieste, Madama Butterfly in Cagliari, Rovigo, Padova and Treviso.


In 2023 he debuts Banco in Macbeth in Trieste, two productions as Conte di Walter in Luisa Miller in Nantes, Rennes, Angers (March and April) and in Como, Cremona, Brescia and Pavia (between October and December), La forza del destino in Bologna, Madama Butterfly with Teatro La Felice for Lubiana Festival.


In 2022: Amorosa presenza by the Academy-Award Nicola Piovani with the staging of Chiara Muti (world premiere, broadcasted by RAI - Italian television) in Trieste, Rigoletto (Sparafucile) and Al Mulino by Respighi (world premiere) in Trieste; Madama Butterfly in Modena and Venice.


In 2021: La bohème (Colline) - Teatro Comunale in Bologna; Madama Butterfly in Trieste; Il barbiere di Siviglia (Basilio) in Catania; Mozart’s Mass K. 427 in C minor and New Year’s Eve concert - Teatro Verdi in Trieste.


In 2019/20: Palla de Mozzi by Gino Marinuzzi for the opening of the season at Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Aida (Ramfis) in Trieste, Naples and Cagliari (Naples and Cagliari cancelled due to pandemic), Madama Butterfly in Verona, Norma (Oroveso) with Festival Luglio Musicale Trapanese.


In 2018 and 2019: Don Giovanni (Commendatore) in Ravenna and Cagliari, Madama Butterfly and Tosca in Venice, Il corsaro (Giovanni) in Piacenza, Simon Boccanegra (Pietro), Rigoletto (Monterone) in Cagliari, Un ballo in maschera (Tom) in Naples.


In 2017 he performed Madama Butterfly (Zio Bonzo) and Aida (Re) at Macerata Opera Festival, Aida (Ramfis) with Italian Opera Academy conducted by Riccardo Muti, Rigoletto (Sparafucile) in Cagliari, Don Giovanni (Commendatore) in Novara.


Between 2013 and 2016: L'arlesiana (Marco) - Jesi; Luisa Miller (Wurm) - Piacenza and Genova; I vespri siciliani (Vaudemont) - Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Modena; Madama Butterfly (Zio Bonzo) - Venice, Modena, Piacenza; Tosca (Angelotti) - Venice and Genova; Aida (Re) - Macerata; Don Giovanni (Commendatore) - Como, Pavia, Jesi, Bolzano, Reggio Emilia; Adriana Lecouvreur (Principe di Bouillon) - Como, Pavia, Cremona; Norma (Oroveso) - Rovigo, Padova; Un ballo in maschera (Tom) - Piacenza, Ravenna, Ferrara; Rigoletto (Sparafucile) - Parma; Turandot (Timur) - Bari.
