Born in 1991 in Romania, Cristian Saitta moved to Sicily. He studied at the Conservatory of Messina and at Centro Lirico di Catania with the soprano Alessandra Mantovani. He also studies belcanto with Maestro Franco Boscolo.
In 2012 partecipated at the XIX International Opera Competition Riccardo Zandonai in Riva del Garda (TN) winning a scholarship to study with Mietta Sighele.
In the same year he performs as a soloist the W.A. Mozart’s Mass in C major KV317 and he participates at the XXIX edition of the Musica Riva Festival in the Falstaff production conducted by Marco Boemi.
He took part to the XXVI Competition Iris Adami Corradetti being awarded with second prize and two scholarships: one offered by the Foundation Lucia Valentini Terrani and the other by Lyric Club in Padua.
In 2017 he has performed Madama Butterfly (Zio Bonzo) and Aida (Re) at Macerata Opera Festival, Rigoletto (Sparafucile) in Cagliari.
Among his future engagements: Madama Butterfly (Zio Bonzo) in Venice, Simon Boccanegra (Pietro) in Piacenza, La Ciociara (Von Bock) in Cagliari, Il corsaro (Giovanni) in Piacenza.
