Born in Roma, Sonia Ciani began her singing studies with  M° Stefania Magnifico.

 

She gets her music degree from the Music Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Roma and she graduated in modern literature with an experimental thesis in contemporary history.

 

2007:  I Shardana by E. Porrino with Musical Conservatory in Stuttgart.

 

2008: she debuted the role of  Frasquita in Carmen -  Teatro Nazionale in Roma. In the same year she attends to advanced course Opera Studio for Santa Cecilia National Academy under the guidance of M° Renata Scotto. She performs Konstanze in Die Ertfuehrung aus dem Serail - Roma ( Auditiorium Parco della Musica). Afterwards, for Opera Studio, she has been the Koenigin der Nacht in Die Zauberfloete,  Norina  in  Don Pasquale  and  Konstanze in Die Ertfuehrung aus dem Serail.

2010:  Fiorilla - Turco in Italia - Viterbo.

2011:  She as been awarded with the first price at “Villa in Canto” competition in Verona, where she debuted Violetta in Traviata, Adina in Elisir d'Amore and Musetta in Bohème; Die Zauberflöte and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi - Genoa.

2012: Norina – Don Pasquale – Bologna; Frasquita – Carmen – La Fenice in Venice; Elvira - L’italiana in Algeri - Cremona, Como, Brescia, Pavia.
